Our Philosophy

At Mighty Minds Educare Bucklands Beach, we want to give our tamariki the right start in life, and ensure they have the best future possible.

We believe respect, confidence and independence will build a better future for all. Through encouraging positive relationships where everyone is welcomed and treated like whanau.

We strive to provide enjoyable learning environment in which everyone can contribute openly to our learning.

We encourage children to work independently but always within the context of a wider community, with differing ages, races and abilities.

We place great importance in children’s learning through play, recognising interests, strengths, and abilities. We listen to children’s voices, ideas, and offer a balanced program whereby children’s learning is extended by teachers planned and imitated activities.

We are committed to Te Tiriti of Waitangi which laid the foundation of Aotearoa New Zealand. Te Reo, tikanga and kaupapa Maori are woven into our daily practice. We acknowledge that we are a multicultural society, and value all cultures, religions and beliefs within our centre and beyond.

About me:
Kia Ora! My name is Sarajane and I am a fully qualified teacher at Little Cubs Kindergarten.
I started out doing design and art at university and whilst studying I was nannying for a family.
I soon recognised that my passion was for early learning and after the completion of my diploma I moved on to a Bachelor of Education.
I am passionate about the arts and outdoor play. I love seeing children developing and exploring their creativity through different mediums. I believe that children are competent and capable learners and that all children deserve the right to a safe and loving early childhood experience.
